“A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.”
Fucking Monsanto, fucking Obama.
Mark my words, the passage of the Monsanto Protection Act will come to haunt us like Clinton’s signing of the the Commodities Futures Act of 2000,
In ten years time we’ll wonder how and why we gave an enormous genetically modified foods monopoly free reign over our food basket, at the store and environmentally.
HP has side menu’d it’s coverage. Major media, nada. Nation of Change is on it, always has been, but we are being led down the modified primrose path to hell.
Hiya, Caller! It may not be what it seems on the surface. I found this article informative…
In defense of science, there are good modifications. But this doesn’t give government controls as it purports to. Discretionary positions remain political and influenced by the monopoly: Monsanto. There were equal arguments for deregulation of derivatives as being a good thing in an expanding global economy. Bill Clinton will still defend it.
I shouldn’t equivocate, but I do.
Monopoly is one of the really big problems with our current food supply between Monsanto, ADM and Cargill.
It is. Hi, CPA!
Just wanted to provide some additional info to fill in the blanks. Personally, I’m completely cheesed off about the whole thing – and the way it was snuck into a vital bill.
Since when has our “media” covered anything more important than Kim KardashiWHO?’s latest boob slip…
Monsanto is coming out with their latest new food product “Soylent Green” soon, though!
Hiya, RF! Hmmm, I wonder if it’s good with peanut butter?

Ring Out Ahoya for an MU rah, rah. Marquette wins again. Woot Woot.
The Jesuits live!
Yes, they do.
RF, No. 8, CPA, Snoy! It’s like Chippendale’s in here!
What does a Chippendale look like after two shifts? I’m guessing the dancin’ is a little lame.
I hope you saved me a front row seat! Hi, Haruko.
What kind of freaky Chippendale’s do you have up there?
Okay, here is my dance:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkeWjWKqHdo
Here;s the guy who dropped trou in front of my wife to be. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zt56gt6zs_k
Another Marquette alum. Class of 86.
Ha, I casually mention that a famous person flashed my wife and I get no reaction. BTW it wasn’t Patrick Swazye.
Wasn’t the guy on the left the “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” guy?
Hi CPA – how’s things?
My ass is dragging and farmers tax returns are challenging.
I bet. I know my CPA’s worked hard on my returns. Complicated they are with all the insurance settlements and new depreciation schedules. I look them over and have NO clue. That’s why we hire professionals like you..
Holy buckets. She married you, so I would assume you are the sexy one!!
We did really go to college with Chris Farley. A friend of mine made him clean up a mess he made in a lunch room.
I am better looking than Chris Farley and in better shape, and not just because I’m still alive.
Haru! Did you bring ones?? 😉
I got some Loonies.

Okay, here is something good: As you know, we like to help our local food bank, and do various promotions to gather as much food / supplies / HABA as we can. The couple that runs our local food bank was honored by our chamber as “Person of the Year.” What a great choice. Even though Gary has mobility problems, they have spent the last 20 years helping others, sometimes using their own money to help out a kid who has next to nothing. What matters in life is what we do for others. LOVE wins!!
that’s cool, Sno. For awhile the food bank on Orcas was running out of food. Not sure how they are doing now since I’m in California.
Times are still challenging. I think it is a big lie that the media propagates that the economy is good. While it may be improving, most people are still struggling…especially those “in between.”
Things may be going better for those who have stocks and bonds, but it’s still miserable for those on the bottom rungs.
Exactly. Our gummint is making it ever more difficult for those of us that try to do right by our employees. Eventually we may not make it.
Our government is owned by the big corps – I hate the position they’ve put you in, Sno.
Thanks. The big guys get the tax breaks, and we get stomped on. Gummit does not care. Gimme more money.
I should probally go bed. i tirrredd. Bye folks. Good to say hi.
Good night, my friend. Take care!
Good night, CPA – sleep well.
Thanks I keep waking up at 5:30.
Eeek! My YouTube is now suggesting videos I might like. Haruko’s horse thingey videos.
Would YouTube lie?
Ha…. they’re addictive!
A lot of people are taking tomorrow off at work.
Unfortunately, I am not one of them.
My boss is bringing in a snow cone vendor…. unlimited snow cones for the people who show up to work. I don’t know if I can eat more than one snow-cone. I guess unlimited margaritas were out of the question.
Oh, my. Margaritas would be SO much better. Hugs, my friend.
Hi, sno. I’m thinking this vendor typically works at birthday parties for five-year olds.
Oh, well. The boss’s heart is in the right place.
Slip in a shot of Kahlua, they’ll go down very nicely. Hi, tg!
Oh… good idea.
Yeah. I think one would be my limit too, TG. Unless they were margarita snow cones, good idea.
Jack isn’t gonna put up a new page ever, is he?
Nope, he loves us just as we are. Hugs, my friend.
This is a nice piano piece by John Fluker, A Dream Remembers.
I really like this. Thanks for posting, my friend.
good evening music, kind of calming.
Beautiful piano pieces like this remind me of my mom. She was so incredibly gifted… I am still honored to be her son. Miss her a lot.
😦 She played piano? Wonderful.
What a frustrating night of college basketball.
My brackets are broken. I had Indiana going to the finals.
It wasn’t just that they lost… they looked awful.
Oh, oh. You didn’t have Gonzaga, too, did you?
No, but several people do. That will help, somewhat.
Hiya all over again!
Lurkin’ like a mofo…
I find this very refreshing.
Having a Fresca?
More euphemisms… 🙄
think I’ll do some reading. See you on the big Friday evening tomorrow, perhaps.
Good night, Orcas.
