    • nebdem says:

Just ignore them, BIB. It is not worth the effort replying to it. I know you have a right to defend yourself, but don’t give them the pleasure of reading what you think, just keep it on the DL.

    • Haruko Haruhara says:

Yeah, BinB, they want to see a reaction out of you. That’s the whole point of what they do.

Honestly, I’ve been dealing with this crowd for 2 1/2 years. The best defense is simply tuning them out and ignoring them. Look how crazy Molli got when we all kept ignoring her. They want our attention.

When Current goes dark, all they will have is Twitter … and each other’s nastiness. These people have been banned from pretty much everywhere else.

      • BoyInBOYCOTT says:

I’ll teach them some BOUNDARIES and some MANNERS, so they NEVER try this crap again.

I have no desire to even look at politics this week, let alone talk politics. I will find something constructive though to talk about and I will spare you all talk about Star Trek.

    • BoyInBOYCOTT says:

we watched to Voyager episodesyesterday on Netflix
I noticed Netflix has all the L-word episodes…I should watch them again
      EXCELLENT series
the L word Opening Theme Song season 3

      • nebdem says:

Voyager had a few decent episodes. I cannot remember the exact episode but it made me laugh the way it was written because the action taking place on the ship, something was happening in the System they were in, but the way it was written was funny because it was suggesting that 7 of 9 was about to sexually erupt. If I ever come across that episode again I’ll let you know.

        • BoyInBOYCOTT says:

I loved seven character, that’s where I hoped the Voyager movie would lead to, following her adjustment to the alpha quad.

          • nebdem says:

One thought I’ve had about the story of the show was that it was trying to say that since they were so far away from home they had to remain humans and hold up the Starfleet banner, but the reality of the situation they were in forced them to become more aggressive and let some things slide. Like an innocence lost scenario.

One thing I don’t like about social media is with respects to the college basketball player who broke his leg yesterday. I cannot bring myself to even watch it, seeing the pictures of his teammates so hurt by what happened keeps me away, but I’m certain there are probably at the least 10 clips of it on Youtube. I feel sorry for the guy that he got hurt, I’m depressed now for him because his injury is now a morbid fascination for people who like to see other people hurt.

  10. nebdem says:

I also read some young man from an MTV show was found dead last night with a few of his relatives. http://omg.yahoo.com/blogs/celeb-news/buckwild-star-shain-gandee-found-dead-21-171739275.html
It is tragic to say the least. I’m not a big fan of reality tv, it think it can cause a lot of problems especially for young people, I doubt his involvement with the show (Which I’ve only heard about, but have never watched) I doubt that led to what happened because it seems too strange from reading about how they found him and his relatives dead.

    • Haruko Haruhara says:

I watched that Real Life with the guy who died of AIDS and then the other guy who was a total douchebag to him. Then, when they had a reunion, the dude said he loved him like a brother (the guy with AIDS had died by then, I think his name was Pablo), and one of the roommates when berserk, calling him a liar and a shithole. God, it was so gut-wrenching.

      • nebdem says:

I remember that series, I think the guy’s name was Puck. I never understood why they gave him so much attention when he was such dirtball, but I guess it was for ratings.

        • nebdem says:

When I write Puck, I mean that he was the jerk who was called out, not Pablo.

        • Haruko Haruhara says:

Puck! That was it. He was a jerk! I really came to dislike him. MTV even gave him his own show. I haven’t watched Real Life since.

      • BoyInBOYCOTT says:

    • Found dead? there was nothing more on the how—people don’t just drop dead in groups. If they post the story at least they should wait until they have the details.

    • In the early days Cylon DNA and human were not a good match which led to other humans, now extinct.

      • nebdem says:

        Revisionist history I see!

        • Now this is where things get interesting for you and gross for us. By being a bi-species product you have benefited from the Cylon DNA thus making you slightly better than the average Klingon, of course Klingon DNA is a corruption to our programing—no biggie we can partition that out.

          Who said eugenics is dead.

          • nebdem says:

I don’t know where to begin. First off you claim that you have a high level of medical understanding, yet even a First year Medical student of Starfleet Academy is years ahead of what ever you think your side has got going on. I was born on Qo’noS, not Earth, and according to the Ancient Scrolls, the Klingons never encountered a robotic race, and if it did it would have been neutralized at the outset of any incident of hostility. Thirdly, Klingon DNA is not corruption, it is in fact an inheritance to the original genetic sequence for humanoids. Fourthly, well I have nothing for fourthly. Fifthly, Klingons are quite aware of the consequences of Eugenics, the Augmented Klingons are a testament to that foul medical exploration.

      • nebdem says:

I’ve always thought that if the Neanderthals and modern humans were on the Earth at the same time, that either a great battle took place to decide the dominate species, or the neanderthal’s were hunted down and destroyed.

  12. Haruko Haruhara says:

OK, his name was Pedro, not Pablo. He died way back in 1994. That was a long time ago.

    • BoyInBOYCOTT says:

      I can’t believe i didn’t remember his name…senior moments…all the time now

Meanwhile, here’s what became of “Puck”

In 2003, Rainey was arrested for domestic violence. In 2009, Rainey was sentenced to a year in a Los Angeles County jail after pleading no contest to charges of committing battery upon his girlfriend. That same year, he also pleaded no contest to felony possession of ammunition and was placed on 3 years’ probation.[25]

On March 19, 2010, Rainey and his 8-year-old son were involved in a car accident on Route 79 in San Diego. His son bruised several internal organs, but was released from the hospital by March 24. Rainey, however, sustained fractures to both feet, right hand, neck, sternum and clavicle, and was expected to remain hospitalized for another week.[26] The California Highway Patrol reported that Rainey was intoxicated at the time of the crash, and would be facing charges of DUI, child endangerment, and driving without a license.[27] Rainey told RadarOnline, “I had two shots of Jack Daniels, but I ate a sandwich with it.”[25]

On June 19, 2011, Rainey was arrested on suspicion of felony corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant,[25] and was held at Los Angeles County Men’s Central Jail on $30,000 bail until his July 6 appearance in a San Fernando court.[25][28]

On November 8, 2012, Rainey pleaded no contest to stalking an unidentified woman on February 22 of that year, and on November 8 was sentenced to two years in Wasco State Prison. Having received credit for 401 days already served, he was expected to be released in a little under a year.[29][30]

As of 2013, Rainey was on felony probation and forbidden from leaving Los Angeles County, California.[4]

He has a hard time behaving normal and keeping himself out of trouble.

      • Haruko Haruhara says:

Not surprised considering what an ass he was on the Real World. Wow, I can’t believe that was really 20 years ago. Boy, do I feel old!

        • nebdem says:

What doesn’t help me with getting older is that it seems that everything from my childhood, cartoons, video games, etc. They keep bringing them back for a new generation and I wonder whether we will be so blessed to see something like a Saved by The Bell series featuring the kids from the class of whatever it was in the 90’s.

          • nebdem says:

I mean the kids from that class, like they are now parents with kids attending Bayside High.

          • Haruko Haruhara says:

I think it must’ve been 96 or so by the time I saw that. New Zealand was always a couple of years behind! We didn’t have MTV, we had a New Zealand equivalent called “C4”

            • nebdem says:

You were spared. Right now I would trade a years worth of television for 1 week in New Zealand.

              • Haruko Haruhara says:

                Sometimes I miss it.

                • nebdem says:

I don’t blame. From the pictures I’ve seen of the place, I would be in shock staying there for a day at how beautiful the place is. Also, I’ve never see the ocean and the way it looks at sunset.

It looks like they are pushing for the death penalty for the Aurora shooter.

  17. nebdem says:

They have a Keystone XL article up on HP about a few of the farmers in Nebraska, as much as I’m tempted to write something in, I know whatever I write will go into pending. That always happens when I respond to an article about Nebraska, the whole Keystone XL situation is a mess, it is a cash cow for everybody.

I will fry up one of the ham steaks tonight and have ham and cheese crepes. I’ll make the other ham steak and au gratin potatoes another night, that seems like too heavy of a meal tonight.
