On the surface we seem to be a nation divided, in many ways that is true. We have forgotten our hearts and we have allowed our politics become the weapon that stabs repeatedly the flesh looking to inflict a kill wound.
To foreign enemies every time our government fails the people is just an affirmation that we are corrupt, to them this justifies their mad decrees against humanity. To domestic enemies every time the government fails the people is just one more reason to commit atrocities under the guise of patriotism.
PATRIOT, now that is a word that in the last decade has taken a sinister undertone. Growing-up the Boston Tea Party was something to be proud of— a historic moment when early Americans (yes I know the history of the Americas and it’s original settlers) told corrupt foreign oppressors to STICK-IT! However, some of our more deranged citizens have hijacked not only the symbolism of the historical Boston tea party but the very emotion a person feels described by the word PATRIOT.
The Tea Party Patriots have in their mad beliefs threatened the very American tenets one associates (at least to me) Patriotism and democracy to be. While I may be angry and disappointed in them most of my waking hours I do not hate them (no matter my occasional rant saying so) and would not trade one of the loons for what radical, heartless evildoers present.
So if you’re a radical, foreign or domestic, and happen upon my disjointed scribblings know one thing–every time you attack us, you make us stronger, every time you seek to divide us you bring us closer. Yes, there’s a lot broken in America but broken does not mean irreparable we will get through any calamity not ripped asunder but in kinship.
Obviously you don’t know shit about America, how I pity you.
