I haven’t read even one sentence about the Jody Arias murder trial. I just don’t care to hear this stuff. Especially from the perspective of an audience member in the Roman Colosseum.

    • I agree – it reeks of voyeurism.

I recently tried to watch Androcles and the Lion, an older movie about a Christian during the Roman Empire who fled his city with his wife, along the way he comes across a lion that has a sliver in his paw, then later when he is caught he is fed to a Lion in the Colosseum, and it was the Lion that he helped earlier, and the crowd was watching, the Emperor was sneering hoping the lion would devour him, but the Lion only hugged him, then they both dance. It was a very bad movie, it could have been great but they made it so campy that it totally ruined everything. It is also a take on a Fable from Aesop.

I am remembering this story, vaguely.

I once wrote this quite awhile back on Huffington Post regarding some bloodthirsty article, probably along the same lines as this drawn out murder trial.

“The roar in the Roman Coliseum, deafening and attenuating to a frenzied ecstasy, resounded like the sharp crack of a whip as the crowd voiced its approval. The half-starved lion lept at its tethered, quivering victim to be dispatched without remorse or regret. “

Why did the chicken cross the road?

I’m having seriously slow connectivity issues even though my taskbar says I’m not. I’ll try to hang in.

There are a few speed testers out there for links. When mine shows a significant drop in speed I have to unplug my Comcast modem and that clears it right up. Usually unplug the router too.

That’s inside the main house. All I can do is reboot from here. The weird thing is that my so-called excellent connection from my phone’s hot spot is just as slow.

        • Lizard Island says:

oh, that’s right. I plum fergot about your setup. Reboot that other house!!

      • MSII says:

AH! Filthy comcast! There’s the problem! I know it well, being stuck wit the scum myself. We desperately need a return to actual anti-trust in “merica”, far too many monopolies and too-big-to-jail, err I mean “fail”!

        • Lizard Island says:

Oh yeah! Their prices suck! But, in California they just
upgraded me for free to 60MBPS from probably running around 20MBPS.
Google is gonna crush them with their high speed lines. Still only half as fast as Japan, though. America needs to play catch-up big time.

What is the obsession with Jodi Arias? I don’t get it.
