The Perfect Realm Get Away: A Who Done It? Freestyle Tale

Haunted_house_aitd

Let this serve as a cautionary tale. Evil things lurk in the cockles of every heart and it’s not the GOP villain one must be vigilant of but the mundane the one thing or person one would never suspect.

It was a cold winter’s night when it was agreed that the wonderful people of the greatest website ever known ( https://jackholesrealm.wordpress.com ) decided to meet in kinship and reverie. The months flew by with lightning speed like rumors and lies spread on twitter and the agreed day was finally here Saturday, July 20, 2013. A fleet of limousines met realmsters at the airport they were driven to the real manor, where a tall gaunt figure greeted them.

JACK! Shouted the very excitable Fluffinator, no! Replied the sinister man; I’m Mr. Hokes Sir Jack’s majordomo. He is otherwise engaged and will meet you all for a formal dinner tonight…

Now YOU add to the story

About Jack Cassidy

Don't worry I'm not trying to be a Legitimate blogger.........no time for it and no money in it, just have fun.

This savage internecine warfare between Jack and NebDem is tearing The Realm to pieces. There must be peace and tranquility or what remains of the universe may unravel.

  8. nebdem says:

I think Jack needs to format this mystery according to what Termgirl wrote and he should also include the wonder dinner Orcas described.

  9. Lizard Island says:

I don’t have a cool castle like Jack but you are all invited to my place for the next Realm meetup.
We’ll have to eat on the ground though.

Hey fluff got an idea for a new page?…………………cuz NO!

  11. Jack says:

The realmsters all realized that they had not been to the dinning hall or met Sir Hole. Neb spoke, ” I demand to know in the most AVUNCULAR, abacinate, kyphorrhinos, yclept way what is happening.

Mr. Hokes explains, “As you entered the manor you were sprayed with the spores of a rare, the only one in existence, orchid that was found in a secret valley up in the Himalayas.” he continues, “the effect is hallucinations and the inability to lie” Captain Poco demands. What lies did you expect to find?”

The Majordomo’s face reveals no emotions as he explains….TO BE CONTINUED.

Over on HP they are trying to bring Race in America to the forefront, but I seriously doubt it will do any good on that site. Then again it might do some good, but HP really doesn’t have the stones to really talk about it in a constructive way. In some ways I feel what they’re doing is simply opportunistic. The last people- people should listen to about race relations in the United States is the MEDIA.

    • Lizard Island says:

Good points, Neb. Today’s media is even more focused on selling the news rather than reporting it.

      • nebdem says:

If the media was serious about it then they would actually allow the people living on the streets to actually weigh in on this subject instead of journalists and sociology majors. There is no connection between the real voices and those that are the mouthpieces for the media. Some could argue that there isn’t one because the media doesn’t want to really take it up seriously because in doing so it will paint a picture of a city that isn’t as pretty as those who run the city want it to look for tourists. I’m livid about this subject because there are positive things that can be talked about right now but the media is simply going to milk this and the DNC will milk this for the Midterms. I know I have a jaded opinion about this, but I have no faith in the media to follow-through with actually making a debate become constructive instead of divisive. The Media would love nothing better than to stoke racial animosity, because in all truth the media doesn’t know a fucking thing about race in America. Race in America still has a long road ahead of it to the end where equality is more defined, but the Media doesn’t care about that- they want the fights because it generates money for them.

There are a few good reads out there for news. The Economist and the Atlantic Monthly Journal. A few others. But most are just parroting off of Reuters news feeds with zero commitment.

            I like Rolling Stone articles.
They’re taking a lot of flack for the Boston bomber cover, but, all in all, they put out some very worthwhile articles, IMO, especially on Wall Street, and finance, in general.
I agree with you, Orcas. Most of the time, they take the cheap and lazy way out…. with very little investigation.

Neb, someone posted a crack on the race thread about Zimmerman being Mexican.

Me and about a dozen others pointed out to the guy that Zimmerman’s mom is from Peru, not Mexico. Some guy responded to me, “that’s not the point, you’re missing the point.”

I pointed out, that “no, someone assuming that Hispanic and Mexican are the same thing IS the point.”

      • termgirl says:

        Good job, HH.
I made a similar comment on an older Aaron Hernandez thread. One guy was going on and on about Hernandez being Mexican, and I pointed out that he is half Puerto Rican, 1/4 Irish, and 1/4 Italian, They are so quick to draw on stereotypes.

      • nebdem says:

That is a good point. Someone who is Hispanic is not necessarily a Mexican. Yes, there are Hispanics in Mexico, but Mexican is a term applied to the people of a country, not to a particular ethnicity. Hispanic derives from ancestry from Spain and Portugal. There was immigration from Europe to South America (Mexico). There were people living in Mexico before the Spanish even arrived, Indians, but they will always be at the back burner of the discussion about Race. You have read about how the indigenous people in South America, North America were uprooted and displaced by Europeans. If we are going to have a discussion about Race in the United States, it is warranted, but it should include every race, but having said that there is an exception due to the fact that in the U.S. we now have an black President, now is the proper moment to make gains in shoring up the inequality, but to do that it requires the Black community to be the spokespeople for the movement, not the media, nor people of color that aren’t Black. It is a great thing that race relations in this country as it pertains to the youth has never been better. This is a positive sign. One could very well argue that as much as people dislike Rap music, Rap music has done more than the Government in creating a better relationship between the youths of all colors. If we want to go into this further we can really talk about how racist our government has been in the past, and how the institutional racism created back then still has a large part in the sowing of division now.

    Hello……
    I’m watching “Tree House Masters.”
    Pretty amazing stuff.
As a kid, I was a tree climber, and loved building forts; not very girly.
I would have given anything for a tree house.
These are more like houses surrounded by trees, but they are very cool.

    • Lizard Island says:

Would love to build and live in one but Mrs. Lizard says no way, Jose! hah!
Yes, not attached to the trees. They move too much in the wind anyway. Be prepared for a bit of mildew if totally shaded though. Would be fun. I was actually talking to a friend the other day who has his own portable sawmill. Built some nice beams and did the math/layout for a timberframe home near me. I told him he would be my ‘to to’ guy for a new hobbit home project/treehouse someday perhaps.

  14. Lizard Island says:

Off to visit a friend then to the concert. Maybe a photo or vid later. Cheers.

I think you could do a study on Darwinism and rivers. Late last night, someone (after it was dark) jumped off a bridge into a river and broke his neck … today someone jumped off another bridge and landed on someone floating in the river, sending both people to the ER….

  16. termgirl says:

I have to run out for a bit.
    BBL.

  17. nebdem says:

    Are you still here, Haruko?
