If Cuba fired missiles into Florida for 60 days and then declared the war was over, would WE see it that way? That’s Obama’s flawed logic about “limited military operations” in Syria. To expect the bad guy who launched a chemical attack on civilians (Assad) to chill out when we declare peace — that’s insanity on our part! People in that region go to war for stuff that happened CENTURIES ago! War doesn’t end just because one side yells, “Time out!” Obama knows this. That scares me more than Assad. There are better alternatives and Obama isn’t giving them a chance, rushing us into a war before the lab work is finished. Why?

    • Jack says:

The “RED LINE” decree he issued is coming back to bite him in the ass, sure the backtrack talk is that the “INTERNATIONAL” community must act to deter the mass murder of innocents—seems selective to me given all the genocide in the last few decades.

But that is the rationale, we did not act before ( BUSH DID IT! 🙄 ) and this is the result. Seems that lives only matter when black gooey stuff is involved, everyone is dirty on this one.

      • bubbagumpy says:

You’re right about that red line comment biting him in the ass. Obama is now saying he isn’t alone on that idea. I think Obama is accepting the endorsements of Woodrow Wilson and Moses, because nobody today seems to be onboard.

I’m getting fast at this, have hitler rap and dirty laundry mp3 files downloaded, ringtone making is even quicker. I’ll make a NICE video to share here, maybe garden pics with the soundtrack

Some potentially very good news from the world of science!
to of course be taken with a dash of salt as we’ve heard these (in this and all areas of science & technology) promises before. (like where’s my freakin personal butler/maid-robot, personal flying-car, permanent space-city, moon-base, etc….)

    • Jack says:

I’m not surprised that it’s a Canadian Pharma co who aims at “Eradication. Forever.” in the US that would destroy the profit margin of just managing the disease.

      • BoyInBOYCOTT says:

I hope I live to see the eradication of the pandemic
Post-Mortem Bar – Zane Campbell – “Longtime Companion”

thanks MS…I’ve seen stories for vaccines and cures for decades, so I keep my hope at a low level…initially

        • MSII says:

Exactly! I’ve seen these types of stories also, and that’s why I said take it with a grain (or a pound) of salt! As with basically all the wonderful stories of advancing science & technology. Just remember those ancient World’s Fair News-reels from yesteryear telling us we were going to have the robots, and the jet-cars, etc, etc….

      • MSII says:

That’s true! Yes, that’s probably the -real- reason it hasn’t been done already the us big-pharma isn’t working on anything -but- a “maintenance” program of “treatment”, the holy-dollas must flow!

    • bubbagumpy says:

Yeah, it’s encouraging but, like you said, don’t get our hopes up too much. I hope it does work to eradicate a horrible disease. Thanks for the link, MSII!

    • I saw that – got fingers crossed, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

  4. Jack says:

  7. Coppernicus says:

I would not want to be this guy.

A few years back a guy that started a fire in BWCA and did damage along the Gunflint ended up committing suicide. Don’t have illegal fires is the moral?

    • CPAwADD says:

I remember camping in the BWCA and while we were there a large forest fire started. We could see that it had started in the direction of where we had previously been encamped. We were reasonably certain that we hadn’t started it, but it was still nice to hear how it had started to assuage all doubt.

  8. Coppernicus says:

If you want to drop bombs on Syria fine but lets call a spade a spade there have been plenty of red lines crossed where the US and International community have chosen to sit on the sidelines. Thus be honest and just tell us why the hell you want to bomb without hiding behind the veil of human rights violations.

  9. MSII says:

    I found this interesting
Syria allies: Why Russia, Iran and China are standing by the regime

“It also stems from (Russian President Vladimir) Putin’s existential fear for his own survival and the survival of the repressive system that he and al-Assad represent. In Putin’s universe, al-Assad cannot lose because it means that one day he, Putin, might as well.”

    • Coppernicus says:

I think Putin’s days are numbered just based on the BS he pulling in his own country and winter olympics could be the clincher.

      • MSII says:

I wish it were so, but from the things I’ve heard he seems to have the country bottled up, remember this is the guy that killed that dissenting journalist (I think he was a journalist?) with the radioactive poisoning in the U.K (if I remember correctly) a number of years ago. This old-style KGB monster isn’t above doing whatever it takes to stay in power.

  10. MSII says:

Made me laugh! Oh these reich-wingers and their “wisdom”…. Clueless U.S. Senator gives advice on how to avoid poverty

  11. MSII says:

  15. captainpoco says:

    how are we my cherubs?

  16. CPAwADD says:

Skepticism with regard to war should be one’s default state. I’m against attacking Syria because its objectives aren’t clear or that likely to be achieved. It’s bad form to attack a country that isn’t a threat to you. I don’t think their is adequate evidence linking the chemical attack to the Assad regime.

There are all manner of unintended consequences which can arise from attacking Syria, and the intended consequences seem illusory.

  17. Hello, The Realm! Hi, Jack, CPA, Copper, Poco and all.
