Now if the three year old had shot the father I say that’s a happy ending. Okay maybe that’s too harsh.
Sometimes I forget my coffee cup is full and poor it all over myself.
WTF,

” The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun”.
It’s a shame that there wasn’t a good guy with a gun at the navy yard.
Yeah. We trust 18-year old kids with multimillion dollar missile systems and loaded M-16s overseas. But when they are states-side, they are unarmed sitting ducks in clearly defined target zones. Why? We trust cops to be armed at all times. Why not equally so with military personnel?
There were plenty of armed personal at the yard. My point is that when someone with an AR-15 gets the drop on you there’s not much you can do. Gen. Stanley McChrystal and I agree there is no reason that the AR-15 should be available to anyone, except active military.
I agree. This guy apparently was in the Navy’s IRR (Individual Ready Reserve) which is not active duty. So he shouldn’t have been allowed to transport an AR-15 and a Glock onto the base. I’d like to know how he did it? I’m sure an after-action review will identify such security issues and hopefully fix deficiencies.
My cousin is NCIS, can’t wait to get that point of view.
That’s why guns need to be out of bag guys reach.
Can’t wait to hear the comment from “Wayne’s World”.
FUCK THE NRA!!!!!!!
Fuck the NRA. Who said that again? I can’t remember. 😉
a very vulgar dawg.
With a splintery post.
I can’t wait to hear the gun-nuts and nra (merchants-of-death) try and tell us how a guy who was diagnosed with paranoia and HEARING-VOICES should have been allowed to keep “bearing-arms”! I want to hear their “logic” for this insani-tea! Their spin-doctors gunna sure earn their fees coming up with the bullshit on this one!
Okay, corny joke time:
Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson went on a camping trip. After sharing a good meal and a bottle of Petri wine, they retire to their tent for the night.
At about 3 AM, Holmes nudges Watson and asks, “Watson, look up into the sky and tell me what you see?”
Watson said, “I see millions of stars.”
Holmes asks, “And, what does that tell you?”
Watson replies, “Astronomically, it tells me there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Theologically, it tells me that God is great and we are small and insignificant. Horologically, it tells me that it’s about 3 AM. Meteorologically, it tells me that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you, Holmes?”
Holmes retorts, “Watson, you idiot. Someone stolen our tent.”
LOL
That sounds about right HA! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bCS4icTrH0
He’s such a prick. 😀
😆
Elvis Costello is my avatar. It’s Elvis Costello eating ice cream. He’s eating ice cream as a tribute to Hume Skeptic, who was an old HPer, one of the sharper ones who did not suffer fools gladly. Now that’s 75% of HP.
WOW I can’t believe that it has been 3 years since Hume and CarlV died—Hume and I were never really friends but we had similar tastes in music, politics and humor. I bet he would not be too happy about what HP is doing now-a-days.
Didn’t that guy have a sun face avatar? I’m trying to recall if I’m thinking about the same person.
Hume’s avatar was Einstein.
Awww, that’s cute!
As the official FNG, drinks are on me tonight. Tiny umbrellas are mandatory.
Make mine a double.
*cheers*
Only amateur drinkers use tiny umbrellas.
Didn’t you read the ad? “Be somebody!”
Steve Martin, but how is the other guy?

♩ ♬Hey, teacher! leave them kids alone!♪ ♫
Wow, that kind of takes on a whole new meaning nowadays.
Good Evening Peeps! Jack – this page is so crammed with good it’s become cumbersome. 🙂
I led a sheltered childhood, but how did I miss this?

OY! Hi, Flufferella!
I really LOVED Fluffernutters when I was a kid!
Hi, Badgers!! You mean the marshmallow stuff? With peanut butter, right?
This is the foulest thing I’ve ever seen. http://beanpieandbaking.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/fluffernutter1.jpg
Looks that way to me now, but was major noms when I was little! (ICK…)

Into the birthday suit?
Yes, See? 😉
Lovely. And so soft and fluffy. 😀
Sigh…. LOL. Why is it only the ladies say such things to me? 😉
😆 😀
Ever seen that pic of a VERY large, long haired cat, captioned “I’m not fat, I’m just fluffy!” That’d be me…
Hey, Cowboy….I have an idea of what Poco can be for Halloween.
I don’t think I’ve ever met a horse mellow enough to do something like that!
Poco could do it but I would never allow him to be subject to such humiliation. Plus I’m anti-halloween, it’s when my mom died and have lots of bad associations with it.
Oops. Sorry, Copper. 😦
Those costumes would scare the hell out of most horses.

dressing a horse up like a sheep, horses are much smarter.
OMG! That is just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! You wouldn’t get saddle sore riding that puff ball around. 😆
Oh, very sad to hear that. Please pardon my retro joy of said holiday. I’m going to post Punky Punkin inevitably… how do you face the commercial onslaught each year? There’s a big bin of jack-o-lantern printed play balls in front of my local Safeway already.
{{hugs}}
Here’s some yummy looking Marshmallow Fluff…http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1131880/thumbs/o-MARSHMALLOW-FLUFF-RECIPES-CREAM-facebook.jpg
Much better. A little of that stuff goes a long way! I think it’s just gelatin or something and sugar syrup…
Remember when all of the breakfast cereals had the word sugar right in the name?
Sugar Pops
Sugar Smacks
I can appreciate that kind of honesty. Now you have to be a detective to find out what poisons are in the cereal bowl.
Fluff!
Jack did a memorable post on Current.com about Fluff!

I’m movin’, I’m movin’.
Hello Realmsters.
Was reading thru this thread and some comment triggered a memory for me. I once interviewed for an engineering position in the Boston area at Northrop. The job involved taking care of Hewlett Packard computers and test equipment. The setup was being used to stress test the gyroscopes that control the flight trajectory of MX nuclear missles during flight.
ah northrup-grumand the company that makes boats that don’t float! at greatly inflated military-industrial-prices of course.
