Greetings! I hope everyone is doing well. I have a few things to vent.

    1) Ted Cruz is a Frakking idiot, seriously. There is no room in American politics for a Frakking idiot that makes comparisons about legislation passed in Congress being tantamount to appeasement to Nazi’s. That utterance confirms that he is a complete waste of time that only wants the media attention that his bloviating gained. I’ve seen a lot of stupid politicians in my life, but he takes the cake right now, but this is not surprising considering those that support his little tirade are even more stupid than he is. He said nothing of substance in his little ruse to act as if he were filibustering, when in fact it was simply a speech. He said nothing at all of merit. He could have used that opportunity to ask cogent questions, but then again the man has no thought process, he is just a Frakking idiot that is only encouraged by the idiots that cheer his stupidity. I would like to have a time machine send his dumb as back to Nazi Germany and then hear him attempt to say the stupid gunk he now thinks. That he mentioned Neville Chamberlain indicates how short of an intellect he has. Chamberlain did everything in his power to make an attempt to prevent war with Germany, yes he failed, but in 20/20 hindsight it is clear that nothing that was done would have stopped Hitler’s march, but it was far better to make an attempt than to do nothing at all. One of Chamberlains biggest critics was Winston Churchill who felt that Chamberlain was blind to the threat of Hitler and that a coalition of European countries could have prevented Hitler’s land grab, but as indicated by the unwillingness of the European countries to confront Hitler’s breach of the Versailles Treaty, nothing would have stopped Hitler short of a full out war, which incidentally was the only thing that stopped him. Yes, Chamberlain will forever go down in history as an appeaser, but even Chamberlain knew how vicious Hitler was, it is not as simple as saying that Chamberlain wasn’t aware of the consequences, he tried to stave them off but failed, but it was better that he made the attempt because it showed how evil Hitler was before the world.

    2) Newt Gingrich is a snake oil salesman that has no ethics. Every step of his way he has behaved as if his debating skills will shield him from the reality that he is nothing more than a bottom dealing knave.
Get hip, CNN. He just played you, yet because they want ratings they will overlook his ethical transgressions.

    3) The cable news media can take a hike. It offers nothing to the U.S. Citizen anymore.

    4) This guy is a Frakking loser: An attention seeking whore and nothing more. This is a symptom of a larger problem. The problem being that if ever there were to be a movement to make this country a better place, those working to that end will suffer because we have so many Frakking idiots in our society that will sell out for a little attention. It is the “All about me Generation,” that we need to teach the most.

    5) Reality TV has so rotted the mind of the American that it is now venturing forth to ruin the book industry. It should be clear now that the powers that be are working more to stunt creative growth than to encourage it. With all of the books released about the various reality TV shows, those books are getting top billing and they are distancing the creative aspect of literature and conflating it with marketing strategies, Duck Dynasty in particular.

    6) The gun control issue is a non-starter. It is becoming to the Left what Abortion is to the Right: a wedge issue.

    7) President Obama should distance himself from Bill Clinton. More and more it looks like the Clintons are calling the plays and Obama is just carrying the football for them. In time this will be written about in biographies. The President doesn’t need another salesman, he ought to be comfortable selling his health care plan himself. The Clintons are a liability to him, in the short-term they are helping him, but only at the expense of their own agenda.

Great series idea, Jack! It is perfect!

Awesome rant, Neb. Well worth the wait.

    Hi, Realm.
What we have now in the US is
    Rule by Extortion.
A group of fanatics are willing to risk the full faith and credit of the United States to satisfy their overlords.
This isn’t going to stop… they will pull these shenanigans all the way up to the mid-terms.

    • Fluffington says:

Hi, Girlie! You are so right. What a bunch of lazy louts, funding our global empire (while ignoring our citizens) six weeks at a time.

    • nebdem says:

      Greetings, Termgirl! Great points!

      • termgirl says:

        Hey, neb.
        Long time, no see.

        • nebdem says:

Hey! How is your FF team doing? I hope you are winning?!

          • termgirl says:

Thanks, neb. Well, I’m still in first place but I have a rough week coming up… lots of tough match-ups. How is your team doing.

            • nebdem says:

I’m still undefeated, ranked 3rd, but actually 2nd, but we have two divisions. I’m going to have a tough match up this week. The guy I’m playing against is doing good tonight with Boldin, but I think I have enough overall to beat him by a few points on Sunday when the majority of the games are played.

              • termgirl says:

                Well, good luck, my friend.

                • nebdem says:

Good luck to you as well, Champ! Interesting things going on in the league, it will be interesting to see if the Dolphins and the Chiefs can play this well up to the half mark of the season. Chicago and Dallas can really put a clamp on their divisions if they keep winning.

                • termgirl says:

The Dolphins play New Orleans this week, and their defense (NO) looks really good. That should be an interesting game.
I saw a statistic that after week 3, the NFC playoff teams from last year were 3 – 15. It’s been really surprising, so far.

                • nebdem says:

It is so neat though how things start off so strange and then by week 8 the picture sort of clears itself out. The Giants are going nowhere, Green Bay will be around at the end. It will be interesting to see how long Seattle can go before they get beat, San Francisco needs to win tonight or things will get nasty. I look forward to seeing the Dolphins beat New England int he coming weeks, they always play them well and it is about time that the other teams in that division put up a fight instead of letting the Patriots run all over them. I like both E.J. Manual and Geno Smith, they could be game changers if they can stay healthy and grow into their positions.

    • Ricki Lee says:

If they persist in droning on – I say drone ’em back – put us out of their misery!

Hi, tg! Glad to see you!

  6. Hah, ha, we have a friend who just traded Frank Gore from her fantasy team. Frank Gore has 107 yards rushing … at the half. 😆

  7. PocoJorge says:

You think committees would take in to account working conditions when they award events,

  8. PocoJorge says:

This is pretty good. Hope it leads to some place good for both countries.

  9. Hi, guys! Neb- per your comment upthread, did you see this?
I LOVE it! Good to see you, and again, hi, everybody!

  12. Anyway- the Grandmothers somehow captured those assholes’ Nazi flag. Gotta love it. 😀

  13. CPAwADD says:

More high school soccer tonight. They were playing the team which finishes last in the conference. Nice easy win. 5-0, everyone got lots of time to play. They would have scored more goals but they kept missing, and the other team’s keeper was pretty good. The subs played most of the second half and even scored a goal.

Georgie Zimmerman’s ex is making the rounds, pretty much saying fat boy was guilty. No shit, huh?

  15. CPAwADD says:

I made a point to compliment the officials who did a fine job. After yesterday can’t ever take that for granted.

  16. BoyInBOYCOTT says:

Project Runway pissed me off tonight, they did a double elimination tonight, and a woman they allowed to be safe, had the worst dress, and a very talented woman they kicked off. I thought she was going to be the top two finalists

  17. CPAwADD says:

I’m going to read and go to bed. My cold has been killing me.

  19. Cobalt, did you see the story about the woman in Florida who got 20 years for firing a *warning shot* toward her husband who had abused her won a new trial on appeal?

    • CobaltBlueDawg says:

Yeah, saw that case some months ago. Seems FL values ceiling plaster more than a young black life. I pray she wins and gets an enormous cash award from the state.

      • Ricki Lee says:

She’s here in Jax! There’s been a helluva campaign going on for Marissa. Meanwhile, the abusive and violent sob ex-husband with an extensive criminal history was their star witness! More of Angie’s doing.

“Speaker John A. Boehner signaled Thursday that the House would not simply vote on the version of the continuing resolution the Senate sends back, running up against a timeline that could suggest at least a temporary government shutdown.”
(it really ticks me off that their paychecks and endless perks continue in the event of a shutdown.)
