fiona dear, where do you stand?

Independent Scotland would keep queen, pound and TV shows but create own military

    • Jack says:

Why in the world would they need a military?

Hi Caller I’m not a Nationalist, however I am at least interested in the arguments for and against Independence.
There was a good prog on last night about whether we would look to the Scandinavian countries for how a Society would work, and I was very surprised how RW Sweden was, and did you know, Norway only ever invested their oil money outside of Norway, even the profits that they made, 96% was re-invested outside the Country, allowing just 4% to be spent within Norway, saying that it has bought them a Health Service, Education service and State pension you and I could only dream about.
So I have still to make up my mind

You’ll have to spruce up Hadrian’s Wall… but that lies entirely in England, hmm… it seems a bit of annexation is in order, right after you get your own military.

btw, we have lots and lots of arms for sale at deep discount.

“Unruly” Crowd Attacks Border Patrol Agents

I obviously don’t know who these people are or their motivations. All I have is conjecture. It’s unlikely that these are drug mules upset that they can’t get into the country, nor does it make any sense to confront an agent if you’re trying to flee impoverishment by sneaking in. This is an emotionally charged anger with authority that I believe has more to do with deportation and the pain of broken families.

My thoughts. I’m open to anyone that might inform me wiser.

    • Jack says:

I agree in that it was the result of emotionally charged desperation and perhaps there were a lot of separated families. I agree whatever the reason these were not the criminal types if anything they are the hard working people, exploited people we encounter daily.

It looks to me that they saw an opportunity and took it. In our cold war we asked the Russians to tear that wall down ( Berlin wall) now people are demanding we build a GREAT wall 🙄

From 2008-2012 George C. Zoley raked in $22 million in compensation from taxpayers. Who is George C. Zoley?

Meet George Zoley, America’s Highest Paid “Corrections Officer”

Maybe they can combine with McDonalds and let their store employees share an order of turkey McNuggets. Alright, chicken(ish) will suffice.

      • MSII says:

that old commercial slogan comes to mind “parts is parts” (like we see on packaging, “chicken product”, beaks, and such are all “parts”)

Wait for the “Personal Budget Planning Guideline” to show up in the pay envelopes soon….8-)

Hello everyone, and Happy Birthday Copper!

I wish all of you a very happy Thanksgiving Day.

    See you all soon.

  9. Caller no. 8 says:

On its 2012 tax return, GOP strategist Karl Rove’s dark money behemoth Crossroads GPS justified its status as a tax-exempt social welfare group in part by citing its grants of $35 million to other similarly aligned nonprofits.

The return, signed under penalty of perjury, specified that the grants would be used for social welfare purposes, “and not for political expenditures, consistent with the organization’s tax-exempt mission.”

    But that’s not what happened.

    • FOUR EYES says:

      I’m shocked, Caller…No, I’m not….8-)

    • MSII says:

since they are absolutely anathema to the very concepts of either “social”, or “welfare” it’s an obvious and out-right LIE. Of course if no-one actually attacks their LIES and brings prosecution as should be done, then….
