Thom Hartmann Show / By Thom Hartmann
Are the Banksters Now Setting Up the Crash of 2016?
Conservative lawmakers overreact to progressive American changes—pushing the economy toward another crash.
Right now, millions of Americans are still struggling to recover from the 2008 financial collapse.
That collapse was fueled by the housing crisis, when Wall Street banksters were running around betting on risky mortgage-backed securities that they could sell to investors and make billions from.
They were able to do that because the Graham-Leach-Bliley Act and the Commodities Futures Modernization Act had blown up rational banking regulations, and, as a result, we saw things like the so-called mortgage “liar loans”.
Banksters were able to turn billions of dollars in risky mortgages into trillions of dollars in derivatives.
And then everything went to hell.
Fast forward to today, and because of Dodd-Frank there are no more “liar loans.”
Banksters can’t run the same scam as they did during the housing crisis.

So, they’ve found a new way to come up with real-estate-backed securities that can be turned into derivatives, worth billions in profits.

    How? They’ve become landlords.
Banksters in Wall Street hedge funds, big banks and private equity firms have purchased hundreds of thousands of mostly-foreclosed houses across the country.
Among the firms and big banks buying up America’s real estate is the Blackstone Group, the largest private equity firm in the world. The Blackstone Group alone has bought nearly 40,000 houses across America, spending $7.5 billion in the process.

I’ve been trying to frame a response and it’s impossible. In today’s world, flush with cash, this audio WILL be public in no time.
Having dealt with the Trust in Newtown, I believe that part of it is to have lawyers (ugh) on retainer to shield the parents, siblings, extended family, school survivors and the town itself from sensationalism in the name of “news” or “duty.” It’s too soon, it accomplishes nothing except honor the Constitutional right to freedom of the press and freedom of expression. Good. Take it to Court and make it last forever. The crush of donations for the defense of the lost and their loved ones and community will cover the legal expenses. No one should get their filthy, sick hands on any of this.
It took me a long time to deal with Blackhawk Down and Munich. All of the 9/11 things were mesmerizing as they came out over a period of years but it all still haunted me and made me question what the attraction was. I eventually walked away from it all.
I feel very empty now. There is rage because nothing can stop this forever. There is a fury that this world “wants” to hear it. There is conflict because I understand the rights must not be capricious, despite the incredible emotion involved. But courts cannot decide by emotion alone. We all know that.
Cash gets paid for the rights…..Emmy’s, ratings and Pulitzers better come back. Dear G_d, what have we done?

Hi, major! All I can say is that I have the 911 tapes from the night Rick was killed. I used to play them – over and over and over and over and over, again. Sometimes they pop up out of nowhere – on Itunes and they blind sight me. Do I want to hear this shit?? Hell, no! Believe me, you don’t want to hear the last dying breath of a loved one as they lay in whatever last dying breath. Hearing it the first time is enough. No repeat is necessary. Period.

The jet stream is much farther south than normal, allowing the cold air to push in from the Arctic and drop temperatures by 20 to 40 degrees below normal levels, AccuWeather meteorologist Tom Kines said Tuesday.

Areas of Montana and the Dakotas were forecast to reach lows in the minus-20s, while parts of California could see the thermometer drop to the 20s. The icy arctic blast was expected to be followed by another one later in the week, creating an extended period of cold weather that hasn’t been seen since the late 1990s, meteorologists said. http://news.yahoo.com/cold-snap-felt-across-western-half-nation-215556543.html
