Aloha! Bon voyage! Gueti Reis! Xäyerle yul!… 4EEEE

We’ve been, with great sadness, saying good-bye to our Friend Mark. This process is sad but things will get better; Goodbyes don’t always need to be sad, they can lead to reunions, vacations, new beginnings, or like in the case of our pal FourEyes aka 4EEEE an offer one can’t resist–so lets kick his butt outta here-sorry, I meant to say lets wave him off and wish him a safe journey. Poor guy is going to be trapped in a country that people ooze   sexuality and have no hang-ups. Poor guy 😛

Breathtaking Timelapse of Earth Made from Publicly Available ISS Photos

Using publicly available photographs taken by astronauts onboard the International Space Station, Bruce W. Berry edited this incredible timelapse sequence. All footage was color graded, denoised, deflickered, slowed down and stabilized and then complied and converted to 1080 HD at 24 frames/sec by Berry.

Hmmmmm……kinda quiet around here! Hope 4E had a good flight! Wonder how the coffee is in Brazil?

  5. thedood says:

    Well poop… it’s raining 😦

    • Hobette says:

      Does Clancey like the rain?

      • thedood says:

Sometimes it depends. He loves tennis balls more than rain though! Doesn’t look like it will last on the radar…light misty showers….may make a go for it in a few…shouldn’t be too muddy (famous last words!)

        • Hobette says:

Cocoa doesn’t like rain at all. But she absolutely loves bouncing around in the snow. She got away from me last winter after a fresh snowfall. She was running & bouncing around in the field next door like a puppy, then she took off on a beeline to town. About 1/2 an hour later she came home, and slept the rest of the day. Nutso, indeed! 😉

What US state has the fastest Internet speed? Virginia
    Hmmm… don’t the politicians live there? Hmmm…
Netflix says Netherlands has the fastest broadband.
Runners-up Sweden and Denmark followed with 2.83Mbps and 2.8Mbps (I’m not surprised!), respectively. Mexico ranks last in its listings at 1.77Mbps, just below Ireland and the US.

      You do that.

          Dawg! How did it go for you this morning? {{{Hugs}}}

          • They swear it’s not the polymyalgia rheumatica because the blood marker, C reactive protein, is at 0. Wifey and I aren’t convinced of that, think it’s a false neg.
They say it’s osteoarthritis. Weird that it’s hitting me in both shoulders, both hips and my left knee all at the same time, much like the PMR did. They want to put me on nsaids, but I have a bleeding condition. So, they’re talking with one of the specialists I saw for that. Anyway, they gave me a pain killer to hold me over until things get figured out.
It’s starting to get in the way of my daily activities and it’s interfering with my sleep, so I’m dragging a bit.
It’s not horrible, but I’d like it sorted out asap

            • classicalgastoo says:

Hmmm – way beyond my pay grade here. I hope they get you back to functional soonest. The Dude just got a hint from someone who knows these things, he’s taking 250 mg. of Magnesium before bed – says it seems to help him sleep. I have no idea if it would be contraindicated in conjunction with other meds, though.

You want I should have a little talk with them? 😉

              • Darth says:

What does magnesium do for that? Just curious. I take vitamin b6 when carpal tunnel acts up, it really works. of course they aren’t legally allowed to tell you that on the bottle, big pharma saw to that.

                • classicalgastoo says:

WebMD says magnesium plays a key role in sleep – I’m not sure, you may need to research further. B6, huh? I’ll check into that – thanks.

                • Darth says:

Yes, so long as it isn’t too far progressed, it won’t fix what someone may need surgery for per se, but it really helps with symptoms. I have family that swear by it, that’s where I heard about it. There’s some science to back that up too, although it’s “controversial” because vitamins have to be, it’s hard to sell expensive drugs otherwise.

                • classicalgastoo says:

Noted – thanks for the link. I’ll do some research.

            • bebe says:

Oh no dearest SH.5..they better be figuring out fast…so sorry for all the problem you are going through…

      Oh, my – thanks, Fi.

    • Hobette says:

      Oh, Koko grieves, too. 😥

    • Darth says:

Thank you for posting that. The beginning was very sad but the video and the story of their meeting was absolutely heartwarming. I believe higher-order animals (dogs, cats, primates) have an innate ability to sense another animals true nature, almost bordering on a sixth sense. IMO it’s an evolutionary trait, a survival strategy to pick up on visual and chemical cues to sense danger or compatibility. We’ve lost it in many ways but I believe it’s still there, buried in the subconscious. kind of like when you meet someone you connect with immediately, you don’t know why, you just do, and alternatively there are some people who just really creep you out. I think Koko found a real friend there, possibly a little bit of a crush too, Robin was a bit furry. 🙂
