Canada’s Future

Canada DON’T give into the fear, the mediocrity, the blatant hate that took America away from our founding beliefs.

Don’t, for one minute, take the road America traveled–that is the only way terrorists can win-not a million beheaded bodies laid on your streets can damage your democracy as caving in to a few sub-human extremists acts, don’t allow your RIGHT-WING politicians destroy your country like we did ours.

Stay strong and free as only a TRUE democracy can be.

  4. Canada actually has a history with terrorism, there were a number of terrorist acts — bombings, kidnappings, murders, in the 60s and early 70s from Quebec separatists. They got through it.

Van Damme would rule at this

Before Canada’s news broke today, I’d spotted this and thought it was worthy of attention. As far as I know, only RawStory ran this among the ‘lib blogs’, but to me it should’ve been splattered everywhere.

Whistleblowers: IRS officials behind ‘fraudulent’ multi-billion dollar corporate tax giveaways

A 10-year veteran Internal Revenue Service (IRS) attorney has demanded a Congressional audit of the IRS to investigate the agency’s alleged role in allowing American corporations to illegally avoid paying billions of dollars in taxes at the same time the agency is cracking down on individuals and small businesses.

In a letter to Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew, IRS commissioner John A. Koskinen, and IRS chief counsel William Wilkins, Jane J. Kim, an attorney in the IRS Office of the Chief Counsel in New York, accused IRS executives of “deliberately” facilitating multi-billion dollar tax giveaways.

    Cartoon: Breast cancer awareness czar

    • Darth says:

Fracking pumps carcinogenic fluids into the ground, toxins enter water table, paints drill bit pink for breast cancer. Seems like komen sells out cheap, maybe open pit mining can get some tasteless hypocrisy too? Too late.

    • Caller no. 8 says:

Komen is working that right-wing donor base hard after pissing off the left. Not really a natural fit, is it.

  16. Darth says:

Hey, I’ve got an idea, how about they paint the cooling towers at Fukushima pink? That’ll help.

  17. Darth says:

    Pink Ribbons, Inc.
“The ubiquitous pink ribbons of breast cancer philanthropy and the hand-in-hand marketing of brands and products associated with it permeates our culture, providing assurance that we are engaged in a successful battle against this insidious disease. But the campaign obscures the reality and facts of breast cancer, more and more women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and face the same treatment options they did 40 years ago. Yet women are also the most influential market group, buying 80 percent of consumer products and making most major household purchasing decisions. So then who really benefits from the pink ribbon campaigns – the cause or the company?”

  18. Caller no. 8 says:

It was only one comment, but like trying to read a comment from the Chairman of the Fed, it’s a huge comment.

Elizabeth Warren may have just opened the door to a White House run

After months of insisting that a 2016 bid is off the table, the Massachusetts senator sounds a different note

”If there’s any lesson I’ve learned in the last five years, it’s don’t be so sure about what lies ahead. There are amazing doors that could open.”
