We can make a commitment to promote vegetables and fruits and whole grains on every part of every menu. We can make portion sizes smaller and emphasize quality over quantity. And we can help create a culture – imagine this – where our kids ask for healthy options instead of resisting them.

This Farmer Massively Outperforms GMOs Organically

A UK farmer is growing enormous crops – and he doesn’t need biotech chemicals in order to enjoy heirloom, prize-winning fruits and vegetables. Is the way to grow copious amounts of food not through biotechnology, but through age old farming practices?

The only veggies I don’t like is the Christian mind washing children animated series “VeggieTales”

Not because it preaches religion but because the BRAND they preach is the fire and brimstone kind that gives rise to extremism and hate.

In this episode, Ester does not want the “lottery marriage” and her guardians let her know her duty — she is forced to marry and there’s some convoluted sub story about a stolen apple to disguise the fact that she is nothing but a piece of meat that must abide by G-d’s wishes.

This is the sort of programming the mother of transgender teen Leelah Alcorn used on her daughter before Leelah committed suicide:

When transgender teen Leelah Alcorn committed suicide by walking into traffic on Sunday, her death – and suicide note – sparked a nationwide debate about how families should react when a child comes out as transgender.

“I immediately told my mom,” Leelah wrote about coming out in an emotional suicide note posted on her Tumblr account. “She reacted extremely negatively, telling me that it was a phase, that I would never truly be a girl, that God doesn’t make mistakes, that I am wrong.”

According to researchers at the Institute for Applied Physics at the University of Bonn in Germany, plants release gases that are the equivalent of crying out in pain. Using a laser-powered microphone, researchers have picked up sound waves produced by plants releasing gases when cut or injured. Although not audible to the human ear, the secret voices of plants have revealed that cucumbers scream when they are sick, and flowers whine when their leaves are cut .
