If you’re reading this, that makes you one of the two that actually does read my posts, then you are familiar with my growing estrangement with my democrat/liberal counterparts. You undoubtedly have felt unease about it as I
mix [realm grammar Nazi corrected]mince no words, let me not mix mince words now.
For the better part of a year and change I have, in an honest attempt to spark true discourse, singled out some critical areas I feel the POTUS has WILLFULLY lied and manipulated the citizens in a vain ( yes I mean just that ) and futile attempt to win over conservative America. I have talked about it from a colloquial point of view, and from crossed reference style. I assumed that most people take the time to familiarize themselves with the issues that affects them, so I am baffled that rather than being objective, people have become hyper-partisan to the point they have abandoned Dem/Liberal tenets and for the most part resemble a leftist image of the right-wing. [these are generalizations from what I have seen on multiple websites and NOT directed at anyone here]
I think we–the people who, just short of a decade ago braced ourselves on progressive principles against the tyrannical Bush adminsitration, are in real danger of morphing, more than we already have, into reactionary eunuchs incapable of coming with true solutions. Caricatures capable of just rebutting so-called trolls and mindlessly defending what turned out to be a social conservative president.
With Hillary Clinton we, as voters, have a real opportunity to NUDGE the Democrat party back to the left. We need to get back to democrat/liberal principles to defeat the RIGHT-WING corporate owned mentality of the right–and this is the crux of the matter, Democrats have become just as corporate owned as the Republicans. Hillary Clinton is probably the poster child for this trend among Democrats.
So the question is, how much are you willing to give-up? I’m not just talking about things we already have meekly forfeited for an illusory sense of safety:
Freedom of speech
The list is far too long for me to even come close to listing. Once “WE” decided that to question the POTUS on even the most blatant betrayal of our trust was heresy, we opened the door for the next gal or guy to keep chipping away at our rights and freedoms–I suppose as long as it’s our brand x politician it’s permissible. But silly me! the PRESIDENT (man or woman) is not a person anymore but an appendage of corporate America, silly, silly me.
