It’s hard to believe that it has been one year since Mark passed away. He is certainly one of the most notable realmsters that I can think of. He was devilish, smart, kind (if given the chance) and a hell raiser. Beyond what we knew on these pages he was quiet sensitive and guarded. I won’t go into a full history of our online exploits because it would take a book to cover the entire history, sufficient to say that whatever he put his mind to, it was fun and artistic.
As I have stated before, when I was going through a rough patch he was there for me, the kindness he showed me letting me vent via chat and giving me hell as a way to cope; will never be forgotten by me or my wife. Just on our recent trip every-time we saw an unusual flower we said “BIB” and every time I saw a Hawaiian shirt I shuddered thinking about how much he loved the damn things.
He was in many ways the heart of the realm. He made a place seem like home with his daily vignettes raging from sad stories to hilarious encounters he had with dumb people-remember how pissed he was at the lady that dinged his car? or the finicky diet he had that was more like a nine-year old kid? no… he would never eat his veggies 🙂
I spoke to Beau and as expected he has been dealing with the loss with ups and downs, especially this month, but he is getting better little by little as I’m sure many of us have when we lost a loved one, life will find a way to replace the sadness with the good memories. He reports that Gina is still the firecracker we came to know and love.
I’ll take the liberty and send him and Gina our love and best wishes. Mark will never be forgotten by those he came in contact. I think we should celebrate in happiness not in sadness that we got to know such an extraordinary person.
I play disco only for you Mark:
PS. To his haters, and he had a few, you’ll never be missed like he is when you die—I know you still feel butthurt 🙂 Love wins, Mark won.
