Anybody know how long coconut oil will keep once you open it?

    • Fancy Jack says:

I have a jar of this

that I have been using for about a month. Before that I had it opened for five months or so using when cooking that coconut curry chicken I posted before. About two weeks my wife stored it on the stove, we have a retro monster that has side panels that she keeps stuff in, well by the time I found it the heat had made it liquid. I thought it would have gone rancid but nope it’s till good. I know it can last a long time.

The internets say up to three years but I’ve got some organic that’s at least six months old if not more. Smells fine but supposedly some of them get mold if they used funky coconuts to press it. Guess I’ll find out tomorrow. (eye twitches)

Looks like the internet is quiet today.

“A group of siblings pitched in together to buy for their father a pair of EnChroma glasses, the amazing optical wear that allows those who are colorblind to see color, which were presented to him while his grandson Carson Stafford captured his response, which was instantaneous.”

Ben Carson visits Miami public housing development — and gets stuck in elevator http://miamiherald.typepad.com/nakedpolitics/2017/04/ben-carson-visits-miami-housing-development-and-gets-stuck-in-elevator.html
“Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson’s two-day visit to Miami — his third stop on a national listening tour — started with a big glitch.

Carson, Miami-Dade County Public Housing Director Michael Liu and five other people got stuck inside an elevator Wednesday on the way down from a visit to the rooftop of the Courtside Family Apartments in Overtown”

“Miami Heat basketball legend Alonzo Mourning, whose nonprofit AM Affordable Housing co-developed the complex with Miami’s Housing Trust Group, waited anxiously in the building’s lobby while Miami-Dade fire rescue labored to pry open the elevator’s jammed doors.

Mourning was scheduled to greet Carson on his arrival to the location at 8 a.m. and join him on a tour of the $22.8 million facility, which opened in September. But Mourning was 15 minutes late, so Liu started the tour without him, playing a game of foosball with Carson in the building’s rec room and showing him the facility’s beautiful basketball court.”

      What , what ?
I am so shocked beyond any words !!!
NY post is Murdock`s paper we all know so go figure.

In 1976, Rupert Murdoch bought Post for US$30.5 million.[3] Since 1993, Post has been owned by News Corporation and its successor, News Corp, which had owned it previously from 1976 to 1988. Its editorial offices are located at 1211 Avenue of the Americas.

      • Darth says:

Wasn’t just the Post, though the post is a complete rag no doubt. There are others in the link and MSNBC was also dabbling in this, but they didn’t go as far. They only said they we’re trying to “confirm” if he had a criminal history. Why even mention it on the news then if they can’t confirm?

TBH it wouldn’t surprise me at all if some PR firm for United leaked this to the media, it reminds me of when someone gets shot by the police and selective information on them mysteriously gets leaked to the media to paint them as a thug. They did the same thing to Michael Brown. They leaked edited parts of a security video to make it look like he had committed a robbery. They didn’t show the previous half of the video which discredits that theory. Right wingers used this to basically say that he deserved it.

So very bad..do you remember during Boston marathon bombing, this Spanish gentleman was selflessly helping injured people caring them around.
Later one day they splashed a bunch of nonsense about him.

This is the world we live in.
