“What I like about the jokes, to me it’s a lot of logic, no matter how crazy they are. It has to make absolute sense, or it won’t be funny.” ~ Steven Wright
Ahhh! the classic comedy Pie in the face routine. The gag works because in some level it satisfies our need to stand-up against some wrongdoer, it always gets a laugh because the victim almost always tends to be some odious person deserving of some facial cobbler justice but it also works because we’re all on the joke.
You know what is not funny? A malevolent gov official cracking jokes on the issue of net-neutrality. Ajit Pai, Obama’s cruel joke on the American people, is just days from finally delivering the death-blow to the way the internet functions, something that as a former Verizon lobbyist he has been trying to disassemble since 2001. He jokes and mocks the people because he can, there is nothing we can do to remove him from his post.
But the joke is on us because when Mitch McConnell conveniently persuaded Obama to hire Pai nobody cared, his supporters thought he was just being Bi-partisan, so funny how that worked out no?
